This Privacy Policy explains what information Tonevault collects when you use tonevault.io, how we use it, who we share it with, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

From your Google account (when you sign in):

• Your name and display name
• Your email address
• Your Google profile picture

We do not receive or store your Google password.

Content you provide:

• Preset files (.hlx, .hsp) you upload
• Comments you post on presets
• YouTube video clips you submit
• Your public profile (username, bio, avatar)

Usage information:

• Which presets you download or rate
• Remix/fork relationships (which presets you derived from others)
• Your activity and interactions on the site

Technical information:

• IP address (used for security and spam prevention)
• Browser type and device information
• Session cookies

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and operate the Tonevault service
• Display your content to other users of the community
• Send email notifications about activity on your presets (comments, clips, remixes)—only if you have enabled notifications in your account settings
• Analyze comments and clips using automated AI tools to help moderate content and keep the community safe
• Track download statistics and display them on preset pages
• Prevent abuse and enforce our Terms of Service

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

Tonevault uses the following third-party services that may process some of your data as part of operating the platform:

4. Cookies and Session Data

Tonevault uses session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from logging in.

5. Children’s Privacy

Tonevault is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at tonevault@ft.io and we will delete it promptly.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:

• Your profile, email address, and personal data are deleted
• Your uploaded presets and public content remain on the site attributed to a “deleted account,” unless you remove them before closing your account

You can delete your presets at any time from your account or individual preset pages.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You can:

• Update your profile and notification preferences in your account settings
• Delete individual presets, comments, or clips at any time
• Delete your account at any time from account settings
• Opt out of email notifications via your account notification settings
• Request a copy or deletion of your personal data by emailing tonevault@ft.io

If you are in California, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we have collected and to request its deletion. If you are in the European Union, you may have rights under GDPR. We will make reasonable efforts to honor such requests.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure database hosting, and access controls to protect your data. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong Google account password and enable two-factor authentication on your Google account.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any updated policy on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of Tonevault after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
